Emily Walsh, MSW, LICSW

Emily is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with individuals, couples and families. She received her Master of Social Work from New York University and her Bachelor of Social Work from Messiah College. The majority of her counseling experience is in the areas of depression, anxiety and couples counseling. Emily helps clients build awareness of current feelings of anxiety, grief, anger and other forms of distress and to make connections to their own past experiences, allowing for healing to occur. ​

Jared Deame, MA, LCMHC

Born and raised in Dover, NH, Jared is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, specializing in the treatment of trauma and related issues. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gordon College and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. He believes in the inherent dignity and worth of every client and their vital role in the collaborative therapeutic process. Jared had a private practice in Dover for several years before joining Shoreline. As a therapist, he embraces a contemplative and curious approach with clients, believing in their own ability to recognize and act upon catalysts for change and healing.​ ​

Brandon Walsh is a priest in the Anglican Church (ACNA) and holds an MDiv from Duke University and an MBA from Fitchburg State University. He currently serves as the planting pastor at Great Bay Anglican Church and the Managing Director for Shoreline Counseling Group. He wants to see people flourish and become all they were created to be. ​

Phil Lewis, MA, LCMHC

While originally from Massachusetts, Phil has resided in the seacoast area for the last 15 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2013 and his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He is also working towards his national certification through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Phil worked as a youth pastor at Durham Evangelical Church for seven years prior to transitioning into the mental health field. While he enjoys working with people from all backgrounds, his main focus is helping teens and young adults, couples, families, and men. His hope is that those he works with will experience healing, transformation, and encouragement to become all they were created to be and experience all they were made to do.

Sharissa Sowell, MSW, LICSW, MLADC

Sharissa provides a compassionate, collaborative space for individuals and couples to explore challenges, build insight, and create meaningful change. She works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and substance use.
Her integrative approach is tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and the Gottman Method to support both practical skill-building and deeper emotional understanding.
Sharissa specializes in substance use and recovery, supporting those questioning their relationship with substances, pursuing sobriety, or navigating relapse and long-term recovery. She also provides court-ordered MLADC evaluations with an objective, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach.
In her work with couples, she focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. She strives to create a safe, genuine therapeutic environment where clients feel supported in building more balanced and fulfilling lives.

Nancy Barnes, MA, LCMHC

Nancy earned a dual master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The majority of her counseling experience has been working with adolescents in the areas of anxiety, depression, panic disorder, suicidality, ADHD, and executive functioning. Her approach to therapy depends on the needs of each individual, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy. Nancy patiently provides a listening ear, undivided attention, and care for the whole person.

Caroline Brewer, MSW, LCSW

Caroline has extensive experience in the social work field and has been serving clients' mental health needs over the last decade. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Social Work from the University of South Dakota. Caroline has experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, complex trauma, grief, parenting/family adjustments, peri- and post-partum challenges, and ADHD, utilizing evidence-based practices to meet the individual’s unique needs. Caroline utilizes a variety of theoretical approaches, treatment strategies, and techniques, combining various modalities, including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Solution-Focused. She provides trauma-informed care. Her goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where individuals can feel truly heard and understood, allowing for positive change and improvement of overall well-being, as well as working collaboratively to empower clients throughout the therapeutic process.

Christine Ogburn, MA

Christine has lived in Massachusetts since 2004, when her family moved from Las Cruces, NM. She received her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where most of her internship experience was with adolescents. Her undergraduate degree is in Community Health from Montana State University where she also completed a certificate in Gerontology. Her therapeutic work in Montana involved suicide crisis counseling, caring for the elderly and working in group homes for pre-teens in the Foster Care System. Christine finds meaning in working with people at both ends of the age spectrum and in creating and maintaining a warm environment where people can understand and explore their own journeys in an emotionally safe space.

Beshoy is passionate about walking alongside his clients in their unique journeys—offering support, empathy, and guidance as they move toward healing and wholeness. He believes therapy is a sacred space where individuals can reconnect with themselves, process their pain, and discover what it means to be fully alive.
His approach is dynamic and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, EMDR, Person-Centered Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. This allows him to tailor treatment to each individual, meeting clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and creatively. Beshoy works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and adjustment challenges. Whether processing deep wounds or navigating everyday stressors, he strives to create a warm, safe, and collaborative environment where meaningful change can take place.
Ultimately, he believes therapy is not just about symptom relief—it’s about discovering what it means to be fully alive in one’s own story. Alijah, while born and raised in Southern California, moved to New England in Fall of 2021. She holds a dual-degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy, in addition to a Master of Divinity. She holds a bachelor degree from Azusa Pacific University in Christian Ministry with a minor in Psychology. As someone of mixed ethnicities (Mexican, Dutch, and Indonesian), Alijah believes everyone’s story is unique and approaches each person with genuine curiosity. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals, equipping and empowering them to navigate through parts of their lives that may feel tangled and overwhelming. Her focus is in adolescents, young adults, couples, and families, but also enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds (ages 5+). She is especially interested in topics related to spirituality, family of origin, identity, and personal narrative. Alijah has a deep desire to provide a safe space for people to find hope, healing, and wholeness. She utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy among other practical evidence-based models to develop care tailored to the client’s personal needs.

Lina Kim, MA

Lina was born and raised on Long Island, NY, but has lived in Boston for the past several years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law, and Bachelor’s Degree in History from Northeastern University. Lina is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Regent University. She most recently practiced in the Outpatient Psychiatry Department of Tufts Medical Center, where she worked with a diverse patient population.
Lina seeks to provide a holistic and individualized approach to counseling, collaborating with the client to identify attainable goals and foster hope towards a more well-adjusted life where the client is freed to seek purpose and engage in meaning-making. Lina has experience working with clients handling depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, grief, and trauma. She enjoys working with clients of diverse backgrounds and ages. Lina primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy among other therapeutic modalities individualized for each client

Lisa Martin, MA

Lisa comes to Shoreline with experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, working with diverse client populations. Originally from Pennsylvania, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Penn State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She has experience walking with clients through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship conflicts, and suicidality.
Lisa considers it an honor to hear clients’ stories and seeks to create a warm, welcoming environment where people can explore their experiences and emotions without judgment. She is passionate about fostering self-awareness and empowering clients to experience well-being in body, mind, and spirit. An avid runner and nature-lover, she often incorporates awareness of the mind-body connection into treatment. She sees clients ages 16+ and utilizes an integrative treatment model based on client needs, drawing from person-centered, psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness approaches.

Matt Pincince

Matt’s approach is relational and holistic. He believes that all people are worthy of love and support and integrates an individual’s uniqueness into their care. He is passionate about serving individuals of all ages and life stages, especially young children, couples, and military populations. Matt uses clients’ strengths to build self-confidence, increase relational connections, and create sustainable change. He utilizes a dynamic range of approaching including, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Cultural Therapy & Play Therapy, among others, to tailor his approach to individual needs. Matt is finishing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Hampshire. Matt served for six years in the New Hampshire Air National Guard (Air Force), an experience that helped shape his desire to serve and guide others through life’s challenges. He provides a warm, steady, and curious environment to help clients feel seen and capable of change.

Grace Rowland

Grace is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. While originally from Wisconsin, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta before moving to Massachusetts in 2021. Prior to beginning work as a counselor, Grace worked in research studying the clinical and neurobiological impacts of trauma in labs at Emory University, Duke University, and McLean Hospital, with a particular emphasis on understanding the effects of sexual trauma. Her counseling experience has been with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, trauma, self-harm, relationship issues, grief, and more. She seeks to make her therapeutic work a holistic and collaborative process, working with each individual client to address the unique interplay of psychological, biological, social, and spiritual dimensions of their life. She leans on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches while emphasizing healing within the therapeutic relationship and the inherent strengths and dignity of each unique person.

Carolyn Bristow, MA

Carrie is a Third Culture Kid who grew up overseas and has spent the last 10 years in the Midwest and New England. She has a master’s degree in counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. She has a background in film and enjoys incorporating narrative therapy and storytelling into her work. Carrie has experience working with adolescents and young adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, shame, grief, and trauma (emotional, sexual, and religious). She works with clients ages 12 and up. She is a process-oriented therapist who approaches sessions from a compassion-focused, strengths-based, and collaborative posture, prioritizing her client's growth in having a holistic understanding of who they are.

While originally from Connecticut, Sara has been transplanted to the Northern part of New England since the beginning of her undergraduate education. Sara completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Gordon College and her Master of Arts in Counseling at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. During her graduate education, Sara was afforded the opportunity to walk alongside individuals impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, academic distress, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and relationship difficulties. Sara also has extensive education in the area of family therapy and couples counseling. Sara is a clinician passionate about understanding the whole person and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship to bring about healing and positive personal growth. Sara’s counseling is infused with the understanding that all people have inherent dignity and worth. Jordan brings experience from diverse clinical settings, including schools, community mental health, and higher levels of care, where she has facilitated therapeutic groups, delivered psychoeducation, and provided crisis intervention. Previously, Anders practiced at Tufts Medical Center, providing psychotherapeutic services to a diverse patient population across the lifespan. As a second-generation Korean American who was born in NYC and grew up overseas, Sam is deeply curious about the unique culture, background, and experiences of the individual that bring them to this point in their life journey. In therapy, he walks alongside the client as they navigate questions and challenges, empowering the client to explore, heal, grow, and flourish as they need. Sophie has a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gordon College. Sophie has extensive experience working with high school and college-aged students in various capacities as well as in rural Romania doing community development work. Working with youth and young adults navigating major life challenges shaped her passion for counseling. She saw the power and importance of being seen and known amidst uncertainty, grief, despair, and mental health challenges in a culture of chronic aloneness and loneliness. Sophie seeks to create a space that honors and celebrates the brave step that is choosing counseling work by authentic and curious listening, warm and unconditionally receptive care and respect for who you are and whatever you carry. Sophie has worked with individuals walking through depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, OCD, relational challenges, and trauma. Susanna is a second-generation Korean American from Queens, New York. She has completed a Master of Arts in Counseling degree at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and she also holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in neuroscience from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Susanna is passionate about working with people from diverse backgrounds and journeying alongside youth and adults to find meaning and empowerment in their life experiences. She is also interested in the intersection of counseling and neuroscience to tailor empirically supported treatments. She holds a collaborative approach to counseling, seeking to holistically understand individuals and uphold their inherent personhood.

Dane completed his Master of Counseling degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He takes a collaborative approach to therapy to encourage autonomy and self-efficacy in his clients, believing they are the true experts of their own lives and goals. Dane invites individuals to engage patiently with their own stories, exploring both their personal history and the resources available within themselves and their communities to achieve their desired goals. His approach draws from Family Systems, Emotion-Focused, Existential, Psychodynamic, and Person-Centered approaches. Dane specializes in helping people dissatisfied with recurrent and longstanding symptoms to go deeper into the dynamics that are keeping them from a happier life and satisfying relationships. He has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. For hobbies, Dane loves to read philosophy, science fiction, and postmodern literature. He plays violin and piano and enjoys exercising and hiking to keep physically active.

Amma Bigbi, MA

Amma is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who works with adults, children, couples, and families navigating a wide range of emotional challenges and traumatic experiences. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and intentionally integrates faith and clinical practice in a way that is respectful, collaborative, and client-centered. Amma has experience in substance use counseling, crisis services, and outpatient care, providing both individual and group therapy to support clients through trauma, emotional distress, and recovery. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Structural Family Therapy, and other integrative approaches. Amma also has a strong interest in global mental health and is currently engaged in mental health initiatives in Ghana, focused on increasing access to care and reducing stigma surrounding mental health across West Africa.

As a person who has been deeply formed by her own experiences in counseling, Emily is a huge proponent of seeing counseling as an imperative part of caring for ourselves as whole people.

Bethany, a New Hampshire native, graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a dual degree in psychology and music. She has worked with children and older adults in a number of musical, psychological, and educational settings, and is driven by a love for people and a passion for seeing them thrive. Whether it be through connecting in person, over email, or on the phone, she enjoys contributing to the Shoreline mission through serving in her administrative role.

Rachel Kimball

Rachel Kimball holds a degree in Human Development and Family Services from the University of New Hampshire and brings a background in both administrative and service-oriented roles. She enjoys creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and staff alike, while supporting the team in ways that allow the counselors to focus fully on clients. Guided by her faith and a genuine commitment to helping others flourish, she views her role not only as administrative support but as a meaningful way to contribute to the mission of providing hope and healing.
